Samsung has begun rolling Kit Kat to the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). This particular model arrived for those in the US back in October and it was initially running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. This update will bump that up to 4.4.2 Kit Kat.

But while the tablet arrived in the US in October, that wasn’t the only market that saw a release. As we often see from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) came available around the globe. To that point, the Kit Kat update has yet to arrive for those in the US market.

Basically, we are in the early stages of the rollout. SamMobile mentioned the update began in Columbia. So far Samsung has yet to confirm any timeframe, but those carrying this particular model can at least take comfort in knowing the rollout has begun. We should also point out this applies to the WiFi only model.

The US market also saw a carrier branded release with Verizon Wireless. There hasn’t been any word from Verizon just yet, but as always, we would expect that one to take a bit longer. That being said, make sure to check the Story Timeline below for some additional coverage including our hands-on.
