August started with us seeing a list of the specs of the upcoming Galaxy A8 on GFXBench. We’re excited to see the 2016 version of the Galaxy A phone that we’re assuming is different from the one launched in Japan last December. Don’t be confused with the year model so just look at it as the new Samsung Galaxy A8.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is listed as model ‘SM-A810’. Specs include a 5.1-inch Full HD screen, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, 16MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera. These specs were spotted earlier on GFXBench. What we recently saw on Geekbench is the ‘SM-A810F’. The additional ‘F’ doesn’t make any difference but we know these two separate models are just one the same.

IFA 2016 is just around the corner and Samsung could very show off the new Android smartphone in Europe. Phone recently got the Bluetooth certification so everything seems to be all clear and set.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 is already considered a phablet because of its screen size. Last year’s version rolled out in China in July and soon reached its native South Korea a week later. It also reached India and Japan. Let’s wait and see until Samsung makes the official announcement.
