Samsung has another Android device in the works, the Galaxy 5 or the GT-I5500 will be hitting the streets soon. This little device packs in Android 2.1 along with a few other features. This device hasn’t really been covered much with all the excitement around the EVO and the Galaxy S so it may be something new for most of you out there.

As mentioned earlier, this will be another 2.1 device. It also has a QVGA TFT capacitive display, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WI-Fi, 3G and a microSd card slot. Not mind blowing specs by any means but if you’re in the market for a low-end Android 2.1 device this may the phone for you.

This handset is expected to retail for around 200 Euros. The rumored release is sometime in July. Expect this device to also come preloaded with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, hopefully it will be the same version that is on the Galaxy S.
