Samsung announced their first ever Developer Conference back in July. At the time they provided some key details and did some teasing, however it wasn’t until today that the registration opened. Simply put, if you had been waiting to register for the “major” event that will take place in San Francisco — now is the day to move forward.

The event will begin on October 27th and run through October 29th and Samsung has said this will be a “Samsung-wide, cross product (multi-screen) developer event.” Putting some of the teasing aside and there is a bit more in terms of detail available today. For example, Samsung has said the event will feature more than 40 technical sessions from influencers in mobile, consumer electronics and digital content.

“Samsung is excited to offer developers a single place to learn how to develop, market, and monetize applications and services that may span smartphones, tablets, and televisions,” said Dr. WonPyo Hong, President of the Samsung Media Solution Center.

More specifically, Samsung will be offering a first look at new SDKs and tools including the S Pen. They will also be offering a more in depth look at the Samsung Service Platform and services APIs for items to include ChatON, Group Play, Samsung AdHub, Context Aware and “much” more.

Other items of discussion will be best practices for developing Smart TV apps in multi-screen environments, special sessions for B2B customers (KNOX, Enterprise SDK), development opportunities in gaming and cross-platform development in things such as HTML5.

That all being said, registration is open as of today and the price of the event is $299. For that attendees will get access to the keynotes as well as the working sessions and a special developer event that will take place in the evening.
