Samsung unveiled the Chromebook 2 earlier in the month. The specs were detailed in full during that original announcement, however Samsung was a bit vague in terms of the release. If you remember back, things were left with mention about how the tablet would be arriving in April.

We are still unsure as to when in April we can expect the Samsung Chromebook 2 to be available for purchase, but a quick look at the calendar tells us that availability window is quickly approaching. We aren’t necessarily thinking the Chromebook 2 will arrive on April 1st, but a recent change on the Samsung Canada site does suggest things are being prepped.

Simply put, the Samsung Canada site now has a complete setup for the Chromebook 2 — including images and specs. The one piece still missing is any sort of ‘add to cart’ button for making the purchase. While we wait for Samsung to announce a date, or quietly begin offering these for sale — we can look back to some of our previous coverage.

We managed to spend a bit of hands-on time time with the 13.3-inch model a bit earlier in the month. Initially impressed, we are looking forward to a more in-depth review of the Chromebook 2. And while we wait, we do know the 13.3-inch model will be $399.99 and the smaller 11.6-inch model will be $319.99.

In terms of the specs, these will both have a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor with 4GB of RAM, 16GB of SSD storage, a microSD memory card slot and 720p webcam. The 11.6-inch model will clock in at 1.9GHz, with a display resolution of 1366 x 768 and a battery life of up to 8 hours. Those same pieces will be as follows for the 13.3-inch model; 2.1GHz, 1920 x 1080 and up to 8.5 hours.
