LG may not be known for releasing quality tablets (at least not yet) but as with a lot of new things in the market right now, it might be worth to give it a shot. If you live in Canada and you’re a subscriber to Rogers, then you might have the OEM’s newest tablet as part of your options as they are rumored to be releasing the LG G Pad III 8.0. It is expected to be officially released by the end of May.

The tablet is part of the latest line of recently announced LG G Pad tablets. It has an 8-inch WUXGA display and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor. Chances are, it will most likely be a a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip. It will have a 16G internal storage but there has been no mention of how much RAM there will be, but it will probably just be 2GB or something. Tablet cameras aren’t usually that exciting and so the 5MP main and front-facing cameras will cause a bit of interest probably.

The LG G Pad III 8.0 will supposedly have a 4800mAh battery and will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It will also have a “one-click Reader mode” which will reduce eye fatigue for heavy readers and will filter blue light as well. A leaked internal document from Rogers said that the target market for this device are the youth and young adults who are looking for value for money.

The tablet is reportedly set for release by May 27 through Rogers in Canada. It will cost you $240 outright, but they probably will have some $0 down payment plan of sorts.
