Coming after a few delays — the Pressy team has begun shipping the ‘”almighty Android button” to Kickstarter backers. Details were shared in a recent update on the Kickstarter page, and include how the team expects “the majority of packages” to arrive somewhere between 5 and 14 days. Of course, there was also a mention about how some may take longer.

It was said that “sorting and shipping all the orders has begun.” The Pressy team mentioned how they have already processed and shipped roughly 15,000 units, and they “estimate to get all of them out by Wednesday.” Basically, the Pressy button is now shipping and it is just a matter of time before it arrives in the hands of all Kickstarter backers.

Along with news of the hardware button being in delivery status — the companion app has also been released in the Google Play Store. Backers can go ahead and download the app now (to prep), however the app will not be of much use until the actual hardware arrives. You see, the Pressy button shipment includes an activation code that is required to use the app.

On the topic of the activation code — there was mention about how “you will be able to use it on multiple devices,” though you will need to contact the Pressy team if you want to transfer that activation code to another Google account. Otherwise, Pressy has plans to release an instructional video update “in the next few days” that will walk you through the process of getting started with the button.
