As complicated and exciting as the mobile games available for Android devices are, there are times when you just want to play something as simple and fundamental as Bejeweled. Now, even this beloved match 3 game is getting a sort of makeover. PopCap Games has released Bejeweled Stars, a new version which maintains the simplicity of the original, but also adds some new ways of playing the game and the addition of Charms, which are basically emojis you can collect and share to express your own style.
So now, instead of just making jewels disappear by matching 3, you get the addition of explosions, more unique challenges, and discovering new powers you can use to enhance the gameplay. You can now even create your own powers, if you get SkyGems and deploy those powers when you want them. You also get to earn stars when completing your levels and they will slowly fill the constellations until you get to unlock new rewards.
This game variant also introduces Charms, which is basically emojis, but Bejeweled style. You can earn, collect, and more importantly, share them with our friends, not just through the game, but also through various messaging palters. So now you get a social dimension to the game, aside from just requiring for extra moves from our friends on Facebook.
You can download Bejeweled Stars from the Google Play Store for free. There are also in-app purchases available, but not required.
