Because rose quartz is one of the colors of 2016, we can expect a lot of products to come out in this color or even just the light pink shade. A few days ago we reported that Samsung’s Galaxy S6 will be releasing a pink version in Taiwan after South Korea also had theirs. Now another rumor is that the Sony Xperia Z5 will also be having a pink variant sometime this January, also in Taiwan.

While of course this hasn’t been confirmed yet by anyone from Sony, those who would like to have the flagship device from Sony and who love the color pink (and who live in Taiwan of course) will probably look forward to this, if proven true. The report says that the variant would be exclusive to Chungwa Telecom, which is one of the leading carriers in the country. There are no other details yet of course and we don’t know if there will be anything different about the smartphone aside from the color.

But based on past other color devices that have come out, including the aforementioned platinum rose pink Galaxy S6, there will be no change in the hardware and even software. So most likely, this pink Sony Xperia Z5 will have a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (expandable to 200GB through microSD), a 23MP main cam and a 5.1MP front facing one.

Now as to what shade of pink the Xperia Z5 will be, some fan renderings have shown it can be ultra pink, but given the current color trend, we can probably expect a rose quartz looking one. We’ll tell you about it if there’s an official confirmation already.
