While we’re still waiting for the arrival of the Pebble 2 and Pebble Time 2, we shouldn’t forget that there are still other existing Pebble smartwatches out there. And Pebble hasn’t forgotten them too. A new update has now arrived for both the firmware and the app itself. The Classic watches (Pebble, Pebble Steel) get version 3.12.2 while the Time-Series ones (Time, Time Steel, Time Round) get versions 3.14. The Pebble app for Android meanwhile will be updated to version 3.14.

There aren’t many major changes with this latest update, except for Pebble Health. The Typical view for your charts is now more informative and more precise, to give you a better overview of your activities and current situation. It will even make you competitive with yourself as it will compare your current step and sleep stats with your average for that day. You can then push yourself more if you feel like your typical day needs to improve, activity wise.

For the Pebble for Android app, you also get a new look and feel for when you’re toggling between the Day, Week, and Month view. As for the legacy Pebble smartwatches, you get an improvement in the handling and accuracy of time zones with this update. Other than that, don’t expect anything else. Of course all of the updates have the usual bug fixes and improvements.

We still have a few months before the Pebble 2 and Pebble Time 2 makes its debut, so until then, we’d have to rely on updates to our current smartwatches to experience something new. Hopefully, Pebble will have something more substantial up its sleeves, or wrists, soon.
