Emojis are a popular way for people to show how they are feeling without having to type it out. Smartphone and tablet users have been texting emojis and using third party apps to send them for a long time now. Pebble has announced a new firmware has landed bringing the watch to firmware version 2.5.

The big thing in this firmware update is that it supports emojis allowing them to be seen on the Pebble screen. Along with support for emojis, the firmware update also brings with it a Pebble compass and iOS 8 compatibility. The magnetometer in Pebble devices can now be used in apps from third party developers to bring compass and wayfinding features.

Emoji support covers all popular emojis according to Pebble and support for more is coming. Several bug fixes and stability improvements have been added to this software update as well. Another thing that has returned to the Pebble Appstore is the DOMO watch face.

That watch face disappeared from the store and has returned with some new features. You can even set that watch face so it knows when it’s hot outside and he will sweat. At night, he will get tired and fall asleep. If you shake the watch, DOMO will get angry.
