What in the world is going on here, you might ask? It appears that Motorola Europe will be heading off this particular wagon of updates, they having a Facebook status up that confirms that their Android 3.1 Honeycomb update will include activation of their SD card support for the tablet. Of course you know that if you've got this tablet inside the USA on a Verizon plan, you've already got the update - but without the SD card bit. What blasphemous set of clicks, developers developers developers, and carriers lead to this terrifying situation?

Our good friend Brian King of AnandTech has been passed a tip which lead us all, collectively, holding hands, to a set of benchmarks that show the power of the upcoming newest DROID in the family, that being the DROID3 aka DROID 3 aka Droid 3. Let's use this opportunity to be as clear as we can be with this - which one is it? Let's all agree! Then let's continue down the road with some specs that can be readily understood by these benchmark pages, that being the GLBenchmark 2.0 results pages showing off the first of several doozies: there's no NVIDIA Tegra 2 here, this device will be running an OMAP 4430 processor.

Verizon Tiered Data Plans Start July 7th – Heavy Users Beware!

The following is a report on what prices you're going to be paying for all 4G LTE data on your DROID Charge, HTC ThunderBolt, LG Revolution, and soon your Motorola XOOM (which will soon be called XOOM 4G or XOOM LTE) as well as all of your 3G devices. Gone will be the days of unlimited data plans, in will be the terrifying onset of tiered data. While this setup will more than likely not affect those who only use LTE to check their email, those who use the connection to download games, run videos, and generally go through their day swapping data like madmen and women will be opening up their wallets and dumping out the contents, if you know what I mean. Recent polls point toward these power users being rather Android inclined, so we've got to put the word out to you!

Motorola Droid 3 Leaks again, 4.0″ screen and front facing camera

Well this is some interesting news, and a odd way to find it also. Apparently we have some new information about the Motorola Droid 3 we told you about in March. This news comes from globaldirectparts.com and they sell OEM parts for mobile devices. They have screen replacements for all types of devices. Usually the device has been announced, or released before they have parts listed so that makes this a little odd.

Apple’s iOS has twice the reach of Android … for now

In result from a new study, Apple's iOS has twice the reach of Android in the US. But the results are a little deceiving as it focuses on iOS products which also include the iPad and iPod Touch. Factoring those in, Apple enjoys a user base of over 37 million, 59 percent higher than Android's user base of just under 24 million and only includes Android handsets and tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Apple's share of US mobile subscribers hovers around 16 percent, while Android subscribers are growing and are currently at around 10%, according to the comScore study.

TweetDeck for Android Leaks to the Wild [Update]

When TweetDeck promised that a public Beta would be made available some time this week, we don't imagine that this is exactly what they meant. But, then again, unless this isn't the final version, at least it means that plenty of folks out there are going to be able to get their hands on it, and try it out on their own devices. And, we're sure that's exactly what TweetDeck folks want.
