Samsung Galaxy Note 3 fingerprint sensor dropped after unsuccessful QA tests

Fingerprint sensors on smartphones seem to be a hot topic lately. Of course, there is the obvious here, which is Apple and the recently introduced iPhone 5s. But otherwise, the HTC One Max and Pantech Vega Note are both expected to be announced with similar functionality. Earlier today we made some comparisons between the rumored Vega Note and the Galaxy Note 3 and according to recent reports -- the two almost had another feature to share.

HTC One Max image leak offers Galaxy Note 3 size comparison

No stranger to leaks and rumors, it appears as if we are getting another pre-announcement look at the HTC One Max. This time around the images have surfaced on the Chinese language ePrice and are offering a look at the handset sitting side-by-side with the Galaxy Note 3. And in addition, there are also a few shots of the backside of the One Max, both with and without the back cover.

AT&T Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear now available

T-Mobile launched the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch earlier in the week and as of today, AT&T has done the same. The oversized smartphone and companion smartwatch have arrived with AT&T this morning and as we had been expecting, we are seeing the Galaxy Note 3 available for $299.99 and the Galaxy Gear available for $299. The difference in the pricing though, the Note 3 $299.99 price point involves a two-year agreement.

Samsung HomeSync media center arriving this weekend

Samsung was showing the HomeSync media center back in February and as of today there is a bit of good news for those in the US market. The HomeSync will be available for purchase beginning on October 6th. Samsung touts the HomeSync as being a "household Android media center for storing, synchronizing and streaming content across multiple devices." To that point, the HomeSync means those with a Galaxy device will be able to stream content on a television.
