Samsung is teaming up with the International Olympic Committee to present the Winter Olympics like never before. As part of their “Samsung Smart Olympic Games” Initiative, Samsung and the IOC will give each participant at the 2014 Sochi games a Samsung Note 3 for them to use.

Samsung Galaxy Round tipped as publicly available prototype

Following rumors of a Samsung Galaxy device with curved display, there was an official announcement for the Galaxy Round. The handset has what Samsung refers to as a 'roll effect' which basically means the handset can be tilted to the side. The unique aspect here, instead of simply rolling back and forth, when you roll the handset the display will activate. But while this sounds like a neat feature, it may be one not seen by many.

Verizon Galaxy Note 3 hands-on

The US availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear is well underway. The handset has been rolling out to various carriers with Verizon Wireless customers getting access to make a purchase as of late last week. Big Red had pre-orders open, however the general availability kicked off on October 10th. As such, we have recently been carrying a Verizon branded Galaxy Note 3 for testing.
