It was probably a laughable idea a few years ago to try and read your email (or actually do anything other than tell time) on your wrist with your watch. But we’ve seen how smartwatches have already evolved into almost mini-smartphones that can be accessed with or without an actual smartphone. Now, we’ve seen email apps come to your wearables, and the latest one to do so is Microsoft’s Outlook app and it is now available for Android Wear smartwatches.

Outlook has been considered one of the best email apps in the market right now, and Microsoft wants to bring it to your smartwatches as well. It became available as a wearable app for Apple Watches last year, and it seems that it’s one of the most popular wearable apps over there. Now those on the Android platform can enjoy the convenience of reading and even replying to important email messages straight from their smartwatches.

Basically, it will notify you when you have new email messages and then let you scroll through all the existing ones on the app (good luck though if you receive a really long email). You can also reply through pre-set messages and through voice dictation as well. All in all, it’s a pretty simple but useful app to have on your Android Wear device.

You can update your Outlook email app to get the Android Wear support. However, it’s still a gradual rollout so be patient if the update hasn’t reached you yet.
