Bad news for Orange UK customers waiting for Android 2.2 Froyo on their HTC Desire.  On the same day that Verizon began pushing out Froyo for the Droid Incredible, the UK carrier has announced a delay in getting the update ROM from HTC.  As such, the Android 2.2 update for the Orange HTC Desire now isn’t expected to be released until mid-September 2010.

Orange hasn’t given any specific reasons for the delay, but does insist that it’s nothing to do with the carrier’s own services on the handset.
