OPPO has just introduced a new smartphone more than a month after the Mirror 5 was officially introduced. Who could forget the OPPO R7 when the phone was subject of many rumors earlier this year when it was officially announced? We couldn’t forget that one and we expected it would have a bigger sibling at launch. Sadly, the R7 didn’t have any other variant with it until the OPPO R7 Plus came along this month.

The OPPO R7 Plus has just been introduced as a new competitor within the extra-large flagship phone category. Yes, it’s considered a flagship phone already but the price makes it just part of the mid-range phone level. Phone still boasts of the same stylish design and now comes with a higher-capacity battery, a high-end camera, and the new VOOC charging system as teased a few months back.

Since the OPPO R7 has been successful in Taiwan, Malaysia, and Indonesia, there is a big chance that the R7 Plus will also be available in these countries with a price that won’t hurt the budget. It features a bigger 6-inch screen on a very slim body and a slender built. It’s also very lightweight at 195g with 158 x 82.3 x 7.75mm dimension.

The OPPO R7 Plus impresses with an 80% screen-to-body ratio, edge-to-edge-design, 1080p AMOLED display, steel and strong body (magnesium-aluminum alloy unibody). Phone is a thing of beauty especially if you’re also a fan of Galaxy phones because honestly, the OPPO R7 looks like any Samsung Android device in the market.

Other specs and features of the phone include a 4,100mAh lithium-polymer battery, lightning-fast VOOC Flash Charging solution, 3GB RAM, octa-core processor, fingerprint-sensor found on the back, and a 32GB built-in storage. As for imaging, the phone’s camera also comes with an exclusive Flash Shot technology, anti-shake optimization feature, an advanced laser autofocus system, and a standard Contrast Detection Autofocus (AF).
