Honestly, we’re excited about the impending arrival of the OnePlus 2 simply because we’re curious if OnePlus’ response to criticisms a couples of weeks ago is valid. The company told us that the next flagship will be better so we want to see how it will fare with the competition. OnePlus also said it’s going to lose money with every Cardboard which will be used during the virtual reality launch this July so we want to know if this is really worth our time and attention.

We’ve heard a lot of information and have seen purported images and specifications of the OnePlus 2 including that metal build and fingerprint scanner, speedy USB Type C port, and an improved Snapdragon 810 processor. Back in May, a mystery phone was benchmarked on Geekbench which we believed was the OnePlus 2.

This time, we’re hearing reports that the smartphone might have 4GB RAM according to a GeekBench3 page. We’re still not sure if this is indeed the OnePlus 2 but the ‘Spring ONE A200’ reference is close to the ‘A2001’ model we spotted on Geekbench earlier. The models could just be one but we’ll never know until OnePlus officially unveils its next premium Android phone. Based on the document, this Spring ONE A2003 will run a 1.55 GHz 8-core ARM Qualcomm processor.

But to give you some hope, this ONE A2003 also popped up on Bluetooth SIG (record no longer found). Design description reads ‘OnePlus Mobile Phone’ so this could be the new OnePlus 2. This is the strongest evidence we have so far that’s making us anticipate for the phone more. We’ll see about that when OnePlus proudly shows off the new Android phone sometime this July.
