There are a lot of apps on the smartphone market from big pharmaceutical firms like Novartis, but these apps have been for platforms like the iPhone for the most part. Novartis has now unveiled new apps for docs using the Android platform on their mobile device.

Novartis has unveiled the Oncology Medical Information app that offers health care pros info on prescribing medications made by Novartis and the ability to send questions to the pharmaceutical giants answer team. Docs aren't the only Android users Novartis is now offering apps for though.

The company also has a new WheresFlu app for consumers that tracks the sickness incidence levels of the top five flu affected cities in the country. The app supports the over the counter Theraflu medication.
