If you’ve been pining for a shiny new Nexus 7 but currently don’t have the funds for one, here’s your chance to try to get one for free. That is, of course, if you’re lucky enough to be one of the few people to be randomly drawn in Google‘s “Share What Matters” sweepstakes.

Google is putting out a call to people to share the things that matter to them the most. Those interested to join should create an inspired portrait or photo that displays the things that they are passionate about. Being a Google and Android contest, a Nexus or any Android device is as the center, literally. If one doesn’t have such a device, one can still submit an entry without one, just don’t put a non-Android device in the mix.

There are a few rules to be followed. First, the contest is open to anyone 18 years old and above and are legal residents of the US. Only one entry per person is allowed and it should not include the usual illegal, obscene, etc. content. It should also be devoid of brand names or copyrighted properties that one doesn’t have legal access to. And, naturally, it should not contain branding and content from direct Google and Android competitors.

If you meet the requirements and feel you have a shot at it, better move fast as there’s just a small window of time left. The contest ends on November 19 and the drawing date is tentatively set on the 20th. There will be a few $50 Google Play gift cards as consolation prizes for some less lucky fellows.
