While we’ve been patiently awaiting some news regarding the next-gen Nexus 7 coming from the folks at ASUS and Google, today we might finally know the price. Hot on the heels of Google announcing an event scheduled for July 24th, we’re now seeing inventory listings for the new Nexus 2 7-inch slate. And that’s how it’s being listed, as the Nexus 2 7″.

We’ve seen countless reports and rumors giving us specs, rumored release dates, pricing and more, so now all we really need is for Google to announce the new tablet. It has cleared nearly all FCC and Bluetooth sig processes already, appears to be running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and we’re expecting both the tablet and the latest version of Android to be announced on the 24th by Google.

Now, the leaked image you see below provided by the guys over at AndroidCentral, is an inventory screenshot apparently confirming the price. We we’re pretty sure it would be announced in July, and will be shipping from the Play Store in August. It sounds like the 16GB model will run you $229, while the larger 32GB flavor will be $269.

We’ll admit, we were hoping for a similar $199 price tag for the 16GB model and have seen leaks suggesting it. But you get what you pay for. In this case that’ll be the latest version of Android and a promise of the fastest updates possible. Along with a 7-inch 1080p HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 (or S4 Pro) processor with 2GB of RAM, the two storage options, and now we have dual cameras instead of one terrible front facing shooter.

This will be a better Nexus 7 in every way possible, hopefully have slimmer bezels, and we can’t wait to learn more. Seeing 3 different 32GB lines suggests multiple color options too. And the only thing missing from this pricing screenshot is the reported 4G LTE model. We’re learning towards seeing these on shelves in retail stores and available from the Play store within the first week or two of August.
