For apps that we constantly use for work and productivity purposes, updates, no matter how minor they are, are always welcome. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides has been used by a lot of people as replacements for Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, especially in companies and organizations that rely a lot on Google products. There are upcoming updates to these apps that may not be that big of a deal, but they are still improvements nonetheless, especially if you’re always on the go.

First off, changing document titles in these three apps is now easier. Before, you would need to save the document first before you could put a title or change it as well. Now, all you have to do is click the hamburger menu on the upper right, tap on the area that shows the title and then you’ll be able to change it on the dialog box that will appear.

When you’re using the Docs app in Office Compatibility Mode, which is just a more formal way of saying that you’re viewing or editing a docx file, the comments and suggestions your colleagues or friends have made are now grouped together and appear in the order that they were made. They are still located at the bottom like in the previous version, but at least now they are more organized and easier to reply to comments or apply/reject the suggestions.

Another update, this time to Slides, is you can now change an existing slide to a premade layout that normally you could only use in new ones. The updates are expected to rollout to the apps in the next few days, so just be a little more patient.
