I don’t know about you guys, but I really like the DROID TV Commercials from Verizon. Back at the beginning of November we had video of the latest TV ad at that time; in a world that doesn’t, droid does. Now there’s a new one, and by the way, the phone on the image is not an iDon’t, but clearly, Verizon wants you to compare it to the more capable DROID.

One thing that most of us have already figured out about the DROID commercials is that they are not directed to girls. So is safe to assume that Verizon is targeting males with the DROID by Motorola TV ads. We can say those ads are “guy friendly”, and please, don’t get me wrong pretty ladies who love Android devices like the Moto DROID, but you are few.
Now, with this latest commercial, there is no doubt, if there was any, that Verizon is doing just that. We can hear clearly the robotic voice saying; “It’s not a Princess… it’s a Robot”, and after that, at the end of the ad, the same voice lets you know that the DROID is “a phone that trades hairdo for can do”. So enjoy the video and let us know what you think.

Verizon's marketing for this ONE phone is so much better then T- Mobs commercials for 3 androids phones put together..
But eh! I'm thinking.. females probably wouldn't pay that much attention to the ad nor take any offense to it
Hey Philly Woman
*I also love the Sig, Sweet!

i don't like the verizon commercials, and here's why:
too negative, in a slick, superficial way. if verizon wants to aim their marketing at tech-savvy consumers, that's fine, but i don't think trashing the iphone is the way to go. let's face it, the iphone has a very attractive user interface, and it's far from "digitally clueless." that's just a ridiculous assertion. it sounds clever, but bears no relation to the truth. "should a phone be pretty?" yes. yes it should. that may mean different things to different people, but i think it's safe to say we all want an attractive device, both hardware and software-wise. the iphone has some beautiful, rich graphics in an attractive package. android hasn't quite gotten to that level. don't get me wrong, the sense ui is very nice, possibly as good or better than iphone in ways, but stock android and the market apps aren't there yet. i'll take function over form any day, but having both is ideal. where android wins is in its philosophy of design (open source & open market), ability to be customized, and native google app integration. rather than attacking the iphone, which is unarguably the phone to beat, why not show what android can do? taking on the opposition in a negative way can make one look petty. if you have a great product, why bother? just show it off. at a certain point, it only shows your opponent's strength if you need to spend your effort trashing them. do i think android is a better operating system? yes, and time will prove it if development continues, but i don't think this kind of marketing is particularly intelligent or effective or, again, accurate. android should be android, not the anti-iphone.
