This is excellent news and something I’ve been waiting to get on my Tablet. For all you Honeycomb users you can now play and stream Netflix right on your tablet. I’ve been testing it and can confirm it works great on my Motorola Xoom. Netflix received an update this morning making 24 devices officially supported and in that list was the new Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet running Android Honeycomb.

We have also tested the recently updated APK on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and it works perfect. Streaming movies works great on these tablets and I’m sure more devices will most likely work. This is fresh off the market so we will look deeper into this and report any and all findings. For now we wont keep you waiting, just download the new Netflix v1.3 APK and install it like any other application and you’re all set.

Once we heard the new Lenovo tablets would be coming pre-installed with Netflix we started to wonder and when the update hit the market earlier today I was rushing to get the APK and give it a try. Hopefully we hear something official from NVIDIA or Netflix soon.

  1. hey, It is also working on The Verizon GALAXY TAB 7 (2.2 stock) – asks to update the app and it lets you stream after just fine

  2. This does not work on my Acer Iconia Tab w/ Stock Honeycomb 3.1. It installs fine and lets me browse content but when attempting to stream it just says that it couldn’t contract the Netflix service.

  3. The Netflix app also works on the Samsung Charge. Thanks for the app. I have played movies on both my Xoom and my Charge with no problem

  4. No go on Asus Eee Pad Transformer. “Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please visit the Netflix website (12001).”

  5. Not working on the eee pad transformer, dang. Gives a connection error when the video is about to start… I wonder why. If it works on other tablets running HB 3.1… wondering if Netflix itself has a restriction on its servers or something.

  6. Error message “Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service.  Please try again later.  If the problems persists please visit the Netflix website (12001)” on Toshiba Thrive when trying to watch a movie.

  7. My android tablet does everything its suppose to but it has a problem with netflix. I can open the app and browse movies and the color is fine, but when i click on my selection the video loads good. But when i am watching it, the color is messep uo. Its all blue and green when it shouldnt be and it really bothers me. Can anyone plz tell me or help to get this fixed? Reply asap
