myTouch 3G And G1 Running At 550MHZ And Stable At 780?

08 February 2010 by David Junior

Yes it is possible and in fact ist has happened. Another great Android Modder has successfully overclocked the 528MHZ on the MT3g and the G1 to 780MHZ.

Eugene373 has done it again, this time he successfully managed to overclock the MT3G and G1 to 780MHZ. This is insane given the fact that the processor was only rated at 528MHZ max. There has even been reports of them running at 1GHZ, this is Nexus One speeds! As usual, try this at your own risk, this does void your warranty and may kill your phone. The only person responsible for that will be you. With that being said enjoy and ther will be more to come.

yes its different but bogomips is esentially linux kernel way of setting the cpu clock speed, 1 bogomip is roughly 1 mhz maybe a little less but not much

    btw, i changed the picture
  4. check this out, its one and the same phone. i just took the screenshots.....

  5. whooooh, is that your g1?

  10. How did he do this? I downloaded the SetCPU app for my G1 but it maxes out at 528Mhz.

I did. I didn't even see any other app.
  13. u cant do this just by downloading setcpu, u have to apply the kernel to your rom
  14. This is great feat. Did you consider what the system clock will do? People also need to be aware that over clocking will drain their battery sooner. This is very important on a phone. It is way better for SW developers to develop their apps as efficient as possible to take into consideration of limited resources.
