If you were all excited by the Motorola Sholes phone that was all over the place a few months back and then went silent for a while, apparently the handset has been spied in the wild. The device you see pictured here is the Motorola Tao, supposedly the final version of the Sholes.

We don’t have all the specs at this point, but according to the leakster, the device is heavy thanks to its all-metal construction. The handset sports a 1390mAh battery and the runtime is said to be good as long as GPS is off.

The handset is described as super slim and thin with a length under 4.5-inches. The OS will be Android 2.0 Éclair. The handset looks cool and we will have to wait and see if the leaked images are actually the real thing when the official announcement is made.

  2. I am absolutely nutso over this phone. I love the look and thank god for another real QWERTY

my only gripe is the carrier. I want something like this on Tmobile so i dont have to break my contract.

but if its as sweet as it look, i just might.

I'm hoping Tmob comes thru with a similar device running a bigger processor.
