The details are very much on the light side, however it is looking like Motorola may be getting ready to build upon what they are currently doing with the Moto X. What we are seeing is coming by way of a brief conversation between Dennis Woodside and Engadget. The comments coming from Woodside brought talk of tablets and phablets, but seems to be circling around the design and technology of the Moto X.

Woodside spoke about how Motorola is planning to explore other form factors that take advantage of “some of the design cues, as well as technologies, from the Moto X.” That is obviously where talk of everything from tablets to phablets comes in to play. And while this next bit didn’t offer a ton of details, it does seem more directly pointed towards tablets.

Anyway, with tablets in mind, Woodside spoke about how “that’s something we are working on, but [there’s] nothing specific to talk about right now.” Simply put, it is looking like Motorola could be working on a Moto X tablet, or maybe a Moto Tablet X. Name aside, time will tell which direction Motorola heads

As for those other devices, we have seen bits and pieces suggesting a lower-priced Moto X is already in the works. Some colored back plates surfaced in a recent image leak, and following up that leak was an FCC filing for a device referred to as the Motorola DVX. The specifics on the DVX are mostly mystery at this point, but the filing did appear to line up with what we were seeing from those leaked back plates.

Stepping back though, it would seem Motorola would be able to offer a solid tablet at this time. And possibly even offer one that truly competes with the Nexus 7. While this next bit is pure speculation, we are thinking a 7-inch tablet with a Moto X-like case design and the X8 processor with the perks of “always listening” could be a winner.
