Good news for all you Droid lovers. Motorola has made an official announcement via their facebook page that an OTA that includes Android 2.1 will start rolling out sometime this week.

This is great news. Now there will be another 2.1 device to join the Nexus One. Hopefully this will open the flood gates for OTA’s for every Android device including our beloved G1. The OTA for the Cliq should be right around the corner, let’s keep our fingers crossed on this one.
