Earlier this week Motorola made an announcement stating that it would start to roll out 2.1 to all Droid users. They even went as far as saying that all Droid users will have the update by the end of this week. Looks like someone made a mistake and jumped the gun a bit.

I know this is bad news for all Droid users. Most people were really pumped for this update and was checking their phone on the hour for the OTA. I knew there was something fishy going on when they took down the 2.1 details page for the Droid. What does this mean for the Cliq update? Maybe nothing or maybe it will be pushed back as well. Guess the wait for 2.1 continues, hopefully this won’t turn into the cupcake debacle.
