YouTube - HELLOMOTODROID-1Hot on the heel of recent Android 2.0 leaked screen shots comes the boot up video of the Motorola Droid (if this is indeed the real deal). Yes, this does indeed confirm the name of the Android phone heading to Verizon. There isn’t much to see yet but BGR noted, “more coming soon.”

droid doesOn a semi-quasi related topic, Verizon asks ‘if the iDoesn’t, what does?’ My guess: Droid does. Engadget is hearing that Verizon will be kicking off a major campaign tonight during the Yankees-Angels game featuring “a different look and a whole new attitude,” calling out the “iDevice” shortcomings.

  2. I was under the impression that Droid was the new boot up screen for Android 2.0, and not specific to Motorola.

I know what eclair is, I'm not a rookie to this whole android thing.

I'm saying is that I thought that the 2.0 eclair boot up screen was going to say droid on all phones, not specific to motorola.

After reading some of the articles, I see that may not be the case.

Either way, I'm excited for another carrier to get android.
