Motorola Domino+ smiles with its mid-range specs

A few pictures lately have leaked regarding another handset by our good pals Motorola. This will be called the Motorola Domino+ and I’m not sure what to say about it other than it looks “cute” and will be a decent little mid-range offering over in China first, but might make its way elsewhere shortly.

Looking over the specifications of the device everything looks decent until we get to the CPU. It will be rocking a slightly outdated 800 Mhz CPU, but it will feature a 3.5″ display, 512 MB RAM, 5MP camera with flash and even a VGA front shooter for video chat. Sounds a bit like the Motorola Droid in its own way. It may not be the best device around but its no slouch either.

Deep down it will be running on the latest iteration of Android and that is 2.3.4 Gingerbread but will most likely be covered up with that Moto Blur UI stuff. It still has a bit of charm to it when looking over the device. The design is nice and playful and it doesn’t have those squared edges like most Motorola phones as of late. The curved edges and thin looks you see in the photo above are a bit unique but I actually sort of like it. The glossy white finish might not be my favorite but that is just me.

Whether this device makes it out of China or not is still unknown but it will be launching sometime in August for those that may be interested.
