Motorola back in China

We already know that Motorola has officially returned to China. The company brings new smartphones and wearable choices to the emerging market. All these are happening because Lenovo’s purchase of Motorola has been finally completed three months ago. This also means consumers in China have more choices now when it comes to smartphones (not that there aren’t enough choices available…). Motorola is bringing the following models to China: Moto Hint (wearable), Moto G, Moto X Pro, and the Moto X.

Earlier this month, we said that Moto X, Moto X Pro, and the Moto G 4G LTE smartphones will be arriving but looks like Lenovo and Motorola decided to add another product: the Moto Hint. It was only this week that availability of the phones was made official. A special event was held recently to celebrate the homecoming of Motorola in China, all thanks to Lenovo. With open arms, the Chinese Motorola fans welcomed back the brand.

During the event, Rick Osterloh, Motorola President, shared the history of Motorola in China to the audience. Watch the video below:

Motorola set up several Experience Zones so guests could experience the new Android smartphones. Moto Voice in Chinese was also demoed to the excitement of the fans. Lenovo Mobile Business Group VP Zhang Hui even mentioned that turquoise was the top color of Moto X so they would be brining it to the market for only RMB 2,999 which is about $480.

Here is a rundown of the Moto smartphones arriving in China:
