Motorola Backflip aka Enzo with Motoblur, Might be Heading to AT&T

For those who are already in love with the Nexus One, we hate to say this but, not everything revolves around it, there are other new Android devices out there you know. Among this other Android devices, there is one that catches our attention; the Motorola Backflip, which is also rumored to be called the Enzo.

MotorolaEnzo

Yes, I know what some of you are thinking, but as far as we know, this new Motorola Android phone doesn’t have anything to do with the famous Enzo Anselmo “the Commendatore” Ferrari, founder of the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix Motor Racing Team, and subsequently of the Ferrari car manufacturer, just saying. Anyway, the good folks over at Phandroid got tipped to this Motorola device, which apparently will be landing at the Death Star…err, AT&T, since it has AT&T-branded apps, an AT&T labeled ROM and also a giant AT&T button on the left side of the keyboard, as you can see on the image above.

According to the tipster, this Android phone will not come with any Google Apps, except for Maps, and it will come with the Android Market but, you will have to use your Google Login to get in, which is odd. Also, as you can see on one of the photos below, it will have Yahoo Search. So… no Google search? Is this an Android or Yahoo phone? Really, the only out-of-the-box things abot this Android device are; the keyboard, which slides out and then flips under in some sort of weird reverse tablet or flip phone, ending with the screen on the opposite side. And the rear directional touchpad, which is on a weird place; on the back!

No word on price or release date just yet, but here are the specs that this smartphone will most likely arrive with:

* 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A
* 512 MB ROM
* 256 MB RAM
* 3.1 inch display 320 x 480 (HVGA)
* 5 megapixel camera with LED flash
* WiFi / Bluetooth 2.0 / GPS
* OS Android 1.5 with Motoblur
* GSM 850/900/1800/1900 W-CDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100
* Reverse flip keyboard
* Rear directional touchpad
