The Moto Z Play may be the most highly anticipated Motorola phone in the market today but the Moto Z Force DROID and Moto Z DROID both remain as the two of the more popular Moto phones. Obviously, they’re the latest devices from the Lenovo-owned group and are actually part of the first batch of phones commercially launched by the company.

The two are lucky recipients of the newest software updates from the OEM. Officially, this build MCL24.246-36 weighs 436MB so make sure you have enough space on your device, are connected to a reliable Internet connection, and there’s enough battery.

No official log of the changes was sighted but of course, we’re expecting numerous bug fixes, new features, and several enhancements. However, the particular update version is mainly for Android security. It’s kind of a bit late because this one is only the July security patch. No August or September security patch yet so we’re guessing some items will not be available.

In case you’re still wondering if the Moto Z DROID or Moto Z DROID Force are good enough for you, read our review and decide if you are willing to shell out $624 for the Verizon Moto Z Droid and $720 for the Z Droid Force. The two can be used to develop with the Moto Mods Development Kit (MDK) so you know they can “play” with other add-ons and accessories.
