Minuum keyboard app

Virtual keyboard Minuum has just received the latest update since January and after more languages, new themes, and better spacing were included. The newest version boasts of a new numbers layout, some advanced character options, and easier adding of hashtags among others. Numbers and symbols are now organized into two layers and app switching back to the letters layer once you hit enter or type a space.

The two new layers in the keyboard include larger and easier to use buttons while the second one features advanced symbols layer. The automatic switching to letters from numbers can be disabled on the Experimental & Advanced settings. For those who always use hashtags, typing is made easier just by pressing the comma(,) button found on the left of the spacebar will switch to “#”. It can also switch to “@” for typing email addresses and “.com” when typing a URL.

The Minuum developers also included an advanced option to hide the alternate character hints found above the letters. Removing unnecessary keys resulted to a simpler, less-cluttered, and minimal look. Feel free to disable the hints by going to Minuum settings >Experimental & Advanced >Alternate character hints.

As with most app updates, a lot of bugs have been squashed. Most notable is the issue of getting miss-corrected when typing and when you’ve switched between mini and full mode. Sending support is also made easier. Simply open the Minuum Settings and click on Get support to open a blank email to support@minuum.com.
