Microsoft Health Android app

Microsoft’s very own Health app is available not only on Windows Phone but also for iOS and Android. The software giant prefers to work on this app that helps people track data and statistics on health and fitness. The app works well with the Microsoft Band, another wearable device that aims to get you and me to start thinking about fitness. It’s actually a $200 wrist band from Microsoft that works with a smartphone to track your workout and health progress.

Microsoft Health now integrates with another similar app called MapMyFitness. Users of Microsoft Health can now easily sync information with the latter. The MapMyFitness integration also allows saving and uploading workout data to MapMyFitness easily. A recent app update also brings integration with another Microsoft program called the HealthVault that allows you to share healthcare information with a doctor. All data can be synced automatically between the said applications.

Microsoft has added more emphasis on biking to the Health app with the new Bike Tile feature. Users can now monitor calorie burn and track heart rate, as well as, speed, elevation, and distance for both indoor and outdoor rides. For those who use stationary bikes, you can take advantage of five new indoor workouts now available.

There’s the Quick Read feature that allows easier reading of email, text, and notifications on the wrist band with the larger font. No need to scroll through the text too because display screen is enough to show what you need to see.
