Another day, another traditional watchmaker joins the wearable market. The latest one to throw in their own brand of lifestyle-focused and fashion-conscious device into the fray is Michael Kors as they announced their Access display smartwatch. It still looks like your average timepiece from the fashion brand, but of course with the added bonus of the technology from the Android Wear platform. Plus, you have customizable features, both physical and digital to match the smartwatch with your personality.

We don’t know much yet about the specs of the smartwatch, but we do know that there are glamorous versions (gold with jewels) targeted for women and a sporty one (black rubber) for men. Or it can be vice versa, depending on what you prefer or what your personality is. It is also meant to showcase not just design but the seamlessness of technology and social connectivity as well. And it is of course customizable, with the options to change your display faces just by swiping on your watch face. You can interchange leather and silicone wristbands as well.

Now it may look like a regular watch, but the touchscreen display shows you social media alerts, as well as messages and email updates. You also get notifications from the apps installed in your connected smartphone. For those who are concerned with fitness, you also have built-in tracking features. And Google will give you smart help and voice-activated commands.

Even though we don’t know yet the display size, resolution, processor, etc, what we do know is that the Michael Kors Access smartwatch will cost $395. It will be available in retail and online stores by fall of 2016.
