We have seen some official details on the LG Optimus G Pro in the past. Those arrived a few weeks back and if you remember, they came by way of a wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo. Those details included some specs, however the images at the time were nothing more than a render. As of today though, it appears as if an in-the-wild style image of the Optimus G Pro has surfaced.

Perhaps more interesting here, this image has come along with some specs. The interesting part about the specs is that they are showing some differences as to what was announced for Japan and NTT DoCoMo. To begin with, the NTT DoCoMo announcement had the Optimus G Pro as sporting a 5-inch 1080p display and this latest leak is showing the handset to have a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display at 1920 x 1080. It appears as if LG has at least two variants of the Optimus G Pro.

Other goodies in this round of Optimus G Pro specs include LTE and HSPA+ connectivity along with a quad-core 1.7GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, 3140 mAh battery, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

For the most part, these specs all match up with what we had seen from NTT DoCoMo. Aside from the display the main differences came with the battery (previously a 3000 mAh) and the front-facing camera which was previously a 2.4 megapixel. This particular model is expected to eventually arrive in the US as well as Europe and China. While not yet confirmed by LG, it is looking as if an official announcement will arrive during Mobile World Congress.

  1. No, no, no!
LG should buy HTC (its brand), and not copy SAMSUNG!

SAMSUNG should stand out from the crowd and LG with WOW design and materials in Galaxy SIV, Note III, Tab III, Note 8.0!
