The LG G2 on both Verizon and AT&T are finally available this week. With Verizon opening up orders on their smartphone yesterday. For those curious as to if you’ll be able to root the 5.2-inch quad-core powered smartphone, that’s a yes. We already have an extremely simple root method for both carrier models, and more details can be found below.

We say easy, but you’ll need a little bit of ADB knowledge to get finished, which is something you should have if you’re rooting to begin with. As usual the folks over at XDA developers have packaged together a nice little one-click method once you get all setup and running with ADB, and it’s rather easy.

For more details you’ll want to head to the XDA link below, which will have a few quick instructions and the download files for the AT&T and Verizon LG G2 root method. The process and app is in Chinese, but it’s all straightforward. But this might not be the best option for a first-timer. That aside, back up everything and you’ll be set in no time.

The LG G2 is pretty impressive, and our full review is coming up quick. The people at LG have included so much customization that it might not even need a custom ROM. You can change quick toggles, the on-screen Android navigation buttons on bottom to any shape, position, and color, and they have so many other things you’ll enjoy this phone either way. LG’s home launcher is customizable as well, so that’s a thing. I’d still root for all those benefits personally, but custom ROMs might not be needed. Proceed with caution and ask questions at XDA before you dive in.
