Earlier rumors were suggesting LG was just about ready to announce the G Pro Lite. And well, aside from not having the ‘dual’ branding in the name, it looks like the rumors were fairly accurate. The LG G Pro Lite will arrive sporting a 5.5-inch IPS (960 x 540) display, 3140 mAh battery and a feature that we suspect some will either love or hate — a stylus pen.

The handset will be powered by a dual-core 1.0GHz MT6577 processor which is paired with 1GB of RAM. There will be 8GB of internal storage space, a microSD card slot, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera. Users can also expect the usual array of smartphone features such as WiFi Direct, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0.

Otherwise, the LG G Pro Lite will be available in white or black and running Android 4.1.2 at launch. In addition to Jelly Bean, the handset will also have several LG specific software features. These include Knock On which allows the user to tap the display two times to wake the phone. There will also be the ability to Pause and Resume during video recording, QuickMemo, QTranslator and more. Basically, the LG G Pro Lite will have “all the benefits” of any other Premium G Series handset from LG.

That digital stylus pen sits on top of the handset and LG touts how it will be able to provide users with “quick and accurate handwriting” recognition. As for the dual-SIM support, the G Pro Lite has a dedicated Hot Key that means users will be able to switch between SIM cards with little effort. The network connectivity will be 3G (HSDPA: 7.2Mbps / HSUPA: 5.76Mbps).

LG plans to release the G Pro Lite in a variety of markets around the globe. The release will begin this month in Latin America and then roll-out for those in Asia, China, India, Russia and the Middle East.
