If you own a Lenovo K3 Note, you live in India, and you’re excited to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, then today is your lucky day. That’s because the Chinese company confirmed on their India Twitter account that they are starting to rollout the over-the-air (OTA) update for the phablet for those who are in the region. Someone was also able to capture the OTA for sideloading, if you cannot wait for the official update anymore.

There is no official changelog so you can see all the new goodies that your device will be getting. Well of course you’ll have the usual Marshmallow stuff that everyone else will have (well those whose devices will be updated, that is) like new app permissions, Google Now on Tap, Android Pay, and new fingerprint APIs. One other thing we’re sure of is that K3 Note users will now be able to use the Ant VR headset because TheaterMax technology will now be supported.

The software build for this update is around 1.6GB so better make sure you have fast connection and lots of space on your device so that there will be no problem when the update gets to you. If you haven’t received yet any notification, you can manually check it through Settings > About Phone > System Update.

If it doesn’t say that there’s an update available, then you’d have to wait a little longer. Or if you don’t want to wait, you can download the update but only if you’re on vanilla Lollipop and you need to use stock recover to flash it. If you don’t know what we’re talking about, better wait for the official update to reach you.
