With shipments going out on August 1st, Lenovo’s newest effort in a rather rounded Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet will be going on sale today. This device has several different models coming down the pipeline while only the 32GB model is available for sale right this moment. That said, you’ve got a couple color options available as well in the basic pack, that being white and silver or red and silver – this is amongst a few other color combinations that’ll be available down the line, each of these combinations with a slightly different tactile feel for your fingers on the back of the device.

Each of these tablets totes an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB or RAM and a camera on the back and a camera on the front. You can get the most basic package, that being just the device itself in either white or red for $499.99 USD. On the other hand, if you want to upgrade to a slightly cooler version of the tablet (with the same guts, mind you,) you can pay $519.99 and get the black and silver variant complete with a leather cover. All of these tablet variants have 1GB of RAM, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 glossy-finish touchscreen display.

You’ve got a 2-megapixel camera up front, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, and ports galore. There’s a USB 2.0 port, a headphone jack, and a microSD card slot. There’s also a mini HDMI port for all of your futuristic Netflix on tablet playing (as it’ll be available at launch) and the whole package comes in that lovely bigtime fine on the hands feel. Also you should note that this tablet isn’t trying to win the contest for thinnest by any means, coming in at 13.3mm while, for example, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes in at 8.6mm.

If you’d like to get a much better idea of what it means to hold this cool new slate, head back to our full hands-on report from earlier this week. We’ve got to let you know!
