Kindle Fire on sale for $129 for Cyber Monday

Kindle Fire on sale for $129 for Cyber Monday

Black Friday may have come and gone, but the chances to get good deals for the holiday season is still here with Cyber Monday. Amazon is one of the leaders for saving money on Cyber Monday, and it is offering the Kindle Fire for only $129 on Cyber Monday. If you don’t want the “Special Offer” subsidized model, it will cost $144, which is still a savings.

The discount means Amazon’s tablet temporarily undercuts Barnes & Noble’s NOOK HD and Google’s Nexus 7 by $70. The model Amazon has on sale is the updated version of the original Kindle Fire. It comes with a 1.2GHz processor and 1GB RAM, which Amazon claims makes it 40-percent faster than the original Kindle Fire. It also comes with 8GB of storage and a battery good for up to 9hrs.

Obviously, the Kindle Fire comes with Android installed, but it’s tweaked and modified by Amazon for its tablet. This means that it does not get access to Google Play, but rather, it gets Amazon’s own app store. Of course, this is not a top-of-the-line tablet, and Amazon itself has the Kindle Fire HD, but for $129, it’s a tough deal to beat.

As with any good deal, there always has to be a catch. In the case of the Kindle Fire, Amazon is limiting customers to only one per shopper. If you want the sale, you need to use the code “FIREDEAL.” If you’ve been waiting to grab a Kindle Fire, today might be the best time.
