Kik Messenger has been updated and is available for Android, Blackberry, and iOS devices for messaging at no charge. The app is a free download and let’s people chat instantly. The app is more like IM’s sent from your computer to another user rather than texting where it takes a bit for the message to get there.

The app will also tell you if the message was sent, received, and delivered. That is an important feature if you are having a serious conversation and need to know the message went through and didn’t fall into the abyss.
