It's not quite whole house automation from your Android smartphone, but if you've been looking at your Christmas tree in disgust as it cycles through its preset LED lighting patterns then you need MEA Mobile's iGloLEDset. A string of 120 color-changing LED lights, the 5m string comes complete with an Android app to remotely control it.

There are also iOS apps if you're an Apple user too. The whole thing hooks up via WiFi, so you needn't be in the same room as the tree either. Sadly this sort of Christmas control doesn't come cheap; the iGloLEDset is priced at $299, though the company says they're still shipping in time for Christmas day.
