The Huawei P9 – successor to Huawei’s current flagship, the Huawei P8 smartphone – was a “no show” at the Mobile World Congress which recently happened in Barcelona. So a good bet is that we’ll probably see the new phone from the Chinese gadget giant pretty soon. It’s rumored to be coming out in March, and we’re almost there – so here’s an image leak for now, showing not one, but TWO camera sensors.

Yep, you read that right, that’s a plural on the title – the image leaked to us today via serial gadget leak website nowhereelse.fr is purportedly of a Huawei P9 prototype. It’s all bundled up and covered in a protective case – one that assures it won’t be recognized easily as well – but the back portion gives us a clear view of the dual camera sensors on the back of the phone.

Also at the back is a square-shaped area which most likely is the fingerprint sensor. The dual camera module will probably be used to create depth of field and focus effects in your images, much like how HTC does it. The Huawei P9 is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch screen just as the P8, but the resolution will get a visible improvement from 1080p to QHD. That will reportedly be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 950 processor and 4GB RAM.

It’s nearing March already, so the launch of the Huawei P9 smartphone should be upon us soon. Hopefully we’ll get a bit more information on this device soon.
