Huawei is joining the smart wearable industry by unveiling two new wearable devices: the Huawei TalkBand B2 and the Huawei TalkBand N1. The two devices were shown off together with the new Huawei Watch and the MediaPad X2 phablet recently at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Actually, this isn’t the first time Huawei is venturing into the wearable category but the Chinese manufacturer seems to be serious in joining the bandwagon now by introducing more devices. The new wearables are expected to be the best smart solution to consumers who are looking for wearable devices that can make everyday life simpler yet more convenient.

Huawei Consumer BG’s CEO Richard Yu believes “wearable devices will remain one of the most significant trends in the device industry” so the company is entering the wearable space with the latest products. Let’s take a look at the Huawei TalkBand N1 and Huawei TalkBand B2:

Huawei TalkBand B2 boasts a more professional design, higher accuracy, and smarter fitness tracking features. This is a follow up to the Huawei TalkBand B1 but now with better Bluetooth connectivity and enhanced synchronization. It’s a sports bracelet and Bluetooth headset in one that can help manage your health and fitness data and information. Specs include an advanced 6-axis sensor, noise reduction technology, dual-microphone, and a pager to locate smartphone. TalkBand B2 also features smart detection technology that can identify and record motions, detect sleep patterns and duration, and determine when it is used as a wristband or as a Bluetooth headset.

Huawei TalkBand B2 also features a minimalistic design with its durable metal bracket made of lightweight aviation aluminum and a user-friendly HD touch screen. It will come in three colors (gold, silver, or black) and two watchband styles (leather or the TPU material). Wearable device will work with phones running at least Android 4.0 operating system. Price is initially set at 199 euros which is about $222 for the leather version and 169 euros ($188) for the TPU strap version.

Huawei TalkBand N1 is a Bluetooth headset that features 4GB of built-in storage for MP3s. It allows sports tracking, Bluetooth calling, and impressive audio listening thanks to its Hi-Fi stereo technology within a 20-20KHz frequency range. When used with a smartphone, the TalkBand N1 can be used as a sports and health tracker. It can count steps, track calorie consumption, and calculation distance, as well as, show you incoming calls. The TalkBand features a TPU soft rubber material surface and an X type design. It’s very durable because it is IP54 dustproof and waterproof (sweat proof). It boasts of a magnetic earbud design so you can turn it from a headset to a necklace accessory as needed. Huawei TalkBand N1 will be ready in three colors: Red, Grey, and Silver.

Continuing its goal to bring the best in wearables, Huawei has also partnered with Jawbone to work with the former’s wearable devices. The Jawbone UP App is the company’s preferred health and fitness tracking system and will be used on Huawei’s new products. The Jawbone app will be pre-loaded on upcoming Huawei handsets and TalkBand wearable series.

This partnership will bring the UP by Jawbone wristband, app and data system to Huawei’s wearables. With this development, more owners of Huawei products can take advantage of Jawbone’s intelligent tracking system and other benefits like the Smart Coach, UP app’s guidance and insight system, and more of Jawbone’s 3rd-party apps.
