After the Honor A1 fitness band, Honor VR headset, Honor 5C, and the Honor 5X, Huawei has recently launched the Honor 5A in China. You can say it’s just another Honor 5 variant but we all know Huawei is always busy making follow ups to its many phone models especially if they’re a hit. This new Honor phone one follows the Honor 4A which has proven to be a success in the low-budget mobile game.

Beginning June 17, Huawei will offer the Honor 5A in its native country. Two variants will be available: one standard model and the other one exclusive to Unicom, China Telecom, and other mobile carriers. The Honor 5A will be one cheap Android smartphone with a starting price of CNY 699 which is about $106. The other variant is CNY 699 ($121).

The Honor 5A is an entry-level smartphone but Huawei didn’t compromise the specs, at least for a budget unit. The phone comes equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS display, 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, 13MP rear camera, LED flash, 8MP front-facing cam with 4P lens, 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in camera, microSD card slot for storage expansion (max of 128GB), 4G LTE connectivity, Dual SIM support, and a 3100mAh battery. Phone runs Android 6.0.1 Lollipop topped by Emotion UI 4.1.

The Huawei Honor 5A will be ready in gold, black, blue, and white. It also supports VoLTE so you can enjoy voice calls over mobile Internet wherever you are.
