Rumors have been suggesting Huawei has plans to announce the Ascend P7 during Mobile World Congress. The company has yet to confirm that, however given the recent increase in rumors, that could likely be when an announcement comes. Anyway, what is believed to be press renders of the Ascend P7 Sophia have recently surfaced.

The image comes by way of the Chinese language Inpai and includes a look at the front and back of the device. The image is on the smaller side, which really just goes to say that you cannot see some of the finer print, which may offer clues such as the megapixel amount on the camera. What we can see though, is a device that has a rather squared design.

Looking back to the earlier leaks, the specs were detailed towards the end of last year. The spec list includes a 5-inch Full HD display along with a quad-core 1.6GHz HiSilicon 910 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Remaining specs include an 8 megapixel front-facing camera, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, microSD card slot, 2460 mAh battery and LTE connectivity.

A more recent leak also offered what was said to have been a screenshot from the Ascend P7. The interesting part of the screenshot was the mention of Android, which was listed as 4.4.2. Also included was mention of the Emotion user interface. That all said, in addition to an expected announcement in February, Huawei is expected to have the handset available by late-March or early-April.
