A pair of new smartphones from Chinese manufacturer Huawei has landed in India. The devices are the Ascend G510 and Y300. Both the smartphones run the Android 4.1 operating system and are available to pre-order now.

The G5 10 has a 4.5-inch TFT LCD with a resolution of 480 x 854. The screen supports 16 million colors. The phone uses a 1.2 GHz QUALCOMM ARM Cortex-A5 processor with dual cores. It also has 512 MB of RAM and a mere 1 GB of internal storage. The phone does have a memory card slot supporting up to 32 GB microSD cards.

The smartphone has a five-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front camera. It also has a 1700 mAh battery and promises five hours of talk time with 320 hours of standby. The phone will cost Rs 10,990. The Ascend Y300 has a four-inch TFT LCD with a screen resolution of 480 x 800.

It appears to use the same processor as the G510 and has the same 1 GB of internal storage. The phone does support up to 32 GB memory cards and has a five-megapixel rear camera combined with a 0.3 megapixel front. The battery in this phone is 1730 mAh promising the same five hours of talk and 320 hours of standby. The Y300 is priced at Rs 7980.
